There are ten boys' and one girls' hostels. They accommodate 2057 undergraduate and postgraduate students. Committees consisting of elected student representatives manage them. Elected student representatives manage the messes also. The messes are divided to serve both South Indian and North Indian dishes as the student fabric is of all India nature. The students themselves go to the Trichy Gandhi Market 3 times a week, escorted by a Warden, to buy fresh vegetables at a very cheap rate. There is a mini lorry for transporting vegetables from the market.

The Hostel Executive Committee headed by the ACW and the DCW coordinates the work among wardens and deputy wardens. The Estate Maintenance department takes care of the civil and electrical maintenance of hostels and messes.
