There will be a written admission test for all the eligible candidates (including the students whose results are awaited) on Sunday the 12th June 2005 at Delhi, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Bangalore, Mumbai and Kolkata.

The question paper for the entrance examination will be of multiple-choice type. The question paper will have two parts and will be for a total of 3 hours duration.

Part I: General English Comprehension, Analytical Ability and Reasoning.

Part II: Mathematics, Physics, Electronics and basic knowledge of Computers.

Though there is no fixed syllabus for the entrance test, a broad outline of the syllabus is suggested in Appendix.

A suitable number of candidates in order of merit from among the general and reserved categories who qualify the written test will be called for group discussion and interview to be held at the University of Delhi South Campus, New Delhi. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the entrance test or for the group discussion/interview. The candidates will be required to produce original certificates and mark sheets at the time of interview. The candidates whose results are awaited may be provisionally allowed to appear in the interview upon giving an undertaking.

The candidates who do not appear in the group discussion/interview will not be considered for admission.

The final selection for admission will be based on the following criteria:

Written test : 75% weightage

Group Discussion and Interview : 25% weightage

There will be separate lists of selected candidates for general and reserved categories.

If the list of selected candidate includes the names of those who were provisionally allowed to appear in the group discussion and interview, they will be entitled to provisional admission, on the condition that they submit their final results before the date specified by the University.

Fee Structure

The fee for various programmes is payable at the beginning of each semester. The approximate fee per semester for the M.Sc (Informatics) Programmes is Rs. 7000/-.
