UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY

The Department of Computer Science was established on 2000 and conducts MCA-3 Years Full Time Programme.

Number of Seats: 30, Reservation is as per the policy of Uttaranchal Government.

Eligibility: Bachelors degree of minimum three year duration with 50% marks in any discipline with mathematics as one subject at 10+2 level or graduation.

Library and computer facilities: The Department has its own library with more than 2000 books. The students also have access to the Central Library of the University. The Computer Lab has over 70 PCs with the latest software and a CISCO Network Lab. The Department has its own VSAT having 15 Pentium III Computer in the Internet Lab connected with the Proxy Server.

Hostel Facilities: No hostel facility is available for boys, however for girl students off campus hostel facility is available on a first come firs serve basis. The room rent is Rs. 450/- on twin sharing basis and the mess charges are approximately Rs. 600/- per month. For boys private accommodation is available in and around the city at reasonable rates.

Sports Facilities: Sports facilities available at the new campus at Chauras are football, hockey, tennis and volleyball, lawn tennis. The old campus has facilities for badminton and also has a gymnasium.
