The rapidly emerging and revolutionizing world of computers has necessitated to the need of Technically sound skillful masters of computers. As a result Computer Science is fast evolving to keep pace with the up growing professional requirements all around. Therefore in early nineties the Institute launched a comprehensive MCA program to meet the challenges ahead.

Students having completed their course / training from SGRRITS are well placed in good position in industry in national as well as multinational organizations. Department regularly updates it’s syllabus and computer lab facilities to keep pace with the advances in the field of computer application visà- vis the requirements of the Industry.

The MCA programme in computer application aims at imparting basic and advanced knowledge on computer principles and applications, creating computer professionals exposed to all aspects of computer management and trained to design and develop the computer based projects. The MCA program has distinguished faculty from academics & industry. There is an emphasis on eminent guest speakers from the corporate world.

The Library is not only provides the students a wide range of academic books but also a variety of weekly and monthly magazines. It facilities to meet the requirements of the institute’s teaching, training, research and consultancy program. It has a collection of over 12000 volumes on all the allied disciplines allowing an avid reader to go beyond the subject matter and read more on the area of student’s interest. The library have access to over 40 updated government, corporate reports, science journals and statistical data press clippings.

Apart from this, the quiet and serene environment makes it an ideal place for study .Library is also connected to DELNET network.

The Computer Labs: The Lab - 1 consists of a total of 65 Systems, out of which 35 are based on Windows-NT & 25 are based on Novell Netware. The Lab 2 is a sophisticated lab that has P IV machines(70) having internet connectivity with Windows 2003 operating system.

Resources: The Labs are well acquainted with printing and scanning resources. Printers are made sharable in LAN. A variety of working environments & software are available.
